Over the past few years we’ve had zombie games thrown at us left, right and centre. On the whole, I’ve personally become fairly disenchanted with zombies because of this. Gone are the days where I’d sit in my quiet place, contemplating what would go in a survival pack. Then, once happy with my choices, the items with be discussed with friends and a back and forth would ensue until the ultimate pack was designed. I never did get around to setting up the rucksack, but then I couldn’t get my hands on any grenades.
Despite this, I have found myself getting quite excited about doublesix’s new dual-stick shooter, All Zombies Must Die!, the follow on from Burn, Zombies Burn! I haven’t played the latter, however, at the time of its release I do remember wanting to give it a bash, but due to one thing or another it slipped through the net, such a travesty will not happen again.
I can’t think of anything better than running around as an alien, shooting the shit out of zombies, with a big gun, how awesome. Now, this gets me going on a train of thought where the next game should be where you play a zombie, shooting… aliens? Maybe!
Either way, the game is due for release on the 12th March, on steam. At this point I’m unsure of how much the game will cost, but when released on XBLA the game went for 800ms, so my best guess is around the £6.99 mark.
